Spot 5 Art Studio and Clifton Art Supply are located at 2044 Frankfort Avenue in an historic building that originally housed the Clifton Market. Owners Laurie Blayney and Jeff Freeman have created an art supply store, gallery, and teaching studios for painting and drawing, ceramics, photography and various workshops all under one roof. Class hours vary and can be found on the Spot 5 Art Studio website. Clifton Art Supply store hours are mon-fri 10am - 8pm sat 10 -5 sun 12 - 5.

Spot 5 Art Studio offers Painting, Drawing, Ceramics and Photography classes for adults, teens and kids 5 years and up. Summer camps are offered June through August and an after-school program including a Portfolio Readiness Program run September through May. In addition, subject workshops are featured throughout the year. All teachers hold degrees in their field.

The Spot5 Gallery hosts quality shows for local artists, students, instructors and regional shows such as VSA's Side By Side. Shows are changed usually every other month and are open during store hours.

Clifton Art Supply is locally owned and run by visual artists. In addition to what one would expect to find at an art supply CAS offers raw materials, custom canvas, damage repair on paintings and some 'exclusive to Louisville' lines - such as Daniel Smith Watercolors and Louvre Oils. Prices are kept below list and discounts to professional artists, teachers and students are offered. Special orders are processed in a few days with no extra charge.
